At 2pm on Saturday 4th April Edward Mayor will be talking about the fascinating double life of W.T. Warrener, who was a friend of Toulouse Lautrec and also a designer of golf courses. This Lincoln born artist, who was a medal winner at the Paris Salon, had to leave Montmartre to return to Lincoln to run the family coal business. He went on to be the first chairman, and later President, of the Lincolnshire Artists’ Society.
Come along and hear more about this intriguing man from Edward Mayor. The talk will be in the Clore Room at the Usher Gallery and is hosted by the Lincolnshire Artists’ Society. The exhibition running at the Usher includes work by Warrener, so you will be able to view some of his work as well as see his sketchbooks.
Tickets, available on the door, cost £5 and include a glass of wine (or juice) and nibbles.
