I thought I would share this with you all as I took part in it a couple of years ago and they raised £10,000 for a very good cause.  There is a write up about it on their website if you are interested.

The 2nd Macmillan Cancer Support 'Secret Art Sale' ! June 2013

We’re having a “Secret Art Sale” to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support – and we’d like you to be part of it!

This is how it works
We are asking artists and celebrities to produce a small “work of art” 12cm x 12cm (to fit a CD case) and to sign and date the back. You choose your favourite subject and medium – watercolour, pencil drawing, cartoon, photograph, or simply words of wisdom. You produce the “art”, pop it in the post and we’ll do the rest.
* All the paintings will be sold anonymously for £45 each and the identities of the artists will only be revealed at the end of the exhibition.
* The names of all the artists will be on display throughout the exhibition as well as being publicised and promoted through the extensive Macmillan Cancer Support network.
* All the money raised from the paintings will go directly to the charity as costs for the event will be covered by sponsors.

Macmillan Cancer Support

One in three of us will get cancer and it’s the toughest thing most of us will ever face. If you’ve been diagnosed with cancer, or a loved one has, you’ll want a team of people in your corner supporting you every step of the way. We provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care. We are Macmillan Cancer Support.

Here’s what to do next

We are sure you would like to be part of this exciting event. All you need to do now is put your inspiration on a piece of paper 12cm x 12cm, and post it to the gallery by the end of May. If you feel unable to take part personally please feel free to pass this on to any friends or celebrities who may.

If you need further information (or a pack to get you started), please contact Drew Wilson at A&KWilsonGallery: 01582 760824 or

Thank you in advance for your support.
