May promises to be a very busy month for me as I will be involved in 3 different exhibitions.
Along with many other collegues my Art on the Map Open Studio will run from 7th May to 15th May. This is the first time we have opened for a full week, normally being just weekends, so it will be interesting to see how the numbers are affected. My Studio in North Hykeham will be open from 10am to 4pm every day with lots of new work on show. A friendly welcome awaits all visitors who would like to see where and how I work. In conjunction with this I will also be exhibiting at The Natural World Centre, Whisby Nature Park in the ‘See Here’ exhibition which runs from 14th to 29th May. This will feature the work of many North Kesteven artists and craftspeople from the Art on the Map network and promises to have an interesting mix of work in a lovely natural setting.
Finally on 21st May I will be involved in ‘1000 Years of Traditional Crafts’ – exhibiting in the grounds of Lincoln Castle – which proves to be a large and very interesting event combining exhibitions and demonstrations of a whole variety of crafts throughout the Castle and Cathedral area. This is also a chance to gain access to areas usually closed to the public in the Castle prison and the Cathedral workshops so should be a good event with lots to see and do.
